Portrait of Belle Ren

About

Belle Ren

Lexuan “Belle” Ren is an Operator Intern at EcoPower ’26 and a student at Brooklyn Technical High School, where she is learning visual storytelling, community mapping, and accessible design. Originally from Fuzhou, China, she brings a cross-cultural perspective and a close attention to the everyday details—like the smell of 8th Avenue or the ritual of a slow cup of tea—that shape belonging. Through the program, Belle has worked on projects including Sweet Rot, an accessible composting trivia card game, and an interactive infrastructure walking tour of The Flats built through field research, street interviews, and narrative GIS mapping. She is especially interested in how thoughtful visual communication, accessibility, and community-centered research can make complex ideas clearer and more useful. Outside of projects, Belle is a tea aficionado who believes the best ideas steep slowly.
